Biography

Nursyazwani is currently pursuing her graduate studies in the Department of Sociology at NUS. Her research explores identity politics of Rohingyas in Malaysia. Beyond academia and AFR-SG, Wani serves as a Research & Education Specialist in Geutanyoe Foundation-Malaysia. She shuttles between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur to conduct research, and to participate in discussions with civil society and refugee communities to promote refugee rights and integration with the host community.

Area of training

Wani holds a B.A. (Hons.) in History from NUS. She worked as an Education Officer with the Ministry of Education (Singapore) before leaving the service to pursue academia.
I retreat to my cello whenever the world feels overwhelming because music always makes the world a more beautiful.
